Dysoxylum fraserianum or commonly known as Rosewood or Australian Rose Mahogany is a large tree native to New South Wales and Queensland, Australia. It can grow up to 57 m in height with trunk diameter of 3.5 m. It is typically long-lived, slow-growing, and shade tolerant. Rose Mahogany gets its name from the pleasant rose fragrance emitted from the freshly cut bark.

Gently and respectfully collecting aged timber that has either fallen naturally or has been left from bygone days of logging in the region. Our licensed collectors explain that this unique timber does not decompose like others. It is not surprising that it has antimicrobial compounds. When distilled it delivers something nature doesn’t offer very often – the colour blue this is attributed to the nature compound guaiazulene.
