The NEW Science of Harnessing the Power of Nature

CELLULAR EXTRACTION works with gradients to transfer the natural water-soluble molecules of a species into a liquid extractant, delivering a True to Nature Plant Extract - the hydrophilic plant profile of phyto-compounds and their derivatives (the entourage) as they exist in the fruit, leaf, flower, wood, seed or fungi of a species.

SCIENCE INSPIRED BY NATURE | Plants move phyto-compounds by natural gradients. Mimicking this action, Cellular Extraction™ works with increased osmolarity (hypertonic conditions) by exposing plant material to a liquid extractant medium (carrier solvent) in a pressurised, air-less environment, disrupting the semi permeable membranes of the cells, moving the natural water-soluble molecules into the liquid medium matrix.


NATIVE EXTRACTS' innovation in extraction is a process that rapidly alternates static and dynamic stages within a closed system, creating an equilibrium between a plant cell and the liquid medium that simulates the cell environment. The extractant enters the cell wall to diffuse phyto-compounds, without stressing or degrading the plant's biomatrix, delivering the full plant profile of water-soluble or oil-soluble phyto-compounds, as they exist in nature – available for long periods of time.

Outdated extraction methods (maceration/percolation/powders/etc) place the plant under extreme stress that rapidly uses up the phyto-compounds and compromises their bonds, resulting in an extract of decomposing plant matter. NOW, phyto-compounds are easily transferred from their original cell environment to a medium ready to formulate. Bio-actives can now be derived from once-thought impervious sources. Our extraction process does not compromise the integrity of the fruit or plant, unlike the old methods of drawn out maceration or percolation, where the raw material is often left stewing for days, exposed to heat, fermenting and breaking down. CELLULAR EXTRACTIONS are clean, fresh and rapid. The process has revolutionised what we can derive from fruits and plants.


In 2013, NATIVE EXTRACTS first publicly launched its range of Cellular Extracts that delivered new analytical results of a species' water-soluble plant profile – a range of phyto-compounds, their derivatives, and other phyto-nutrients suspended in a liquid matrix.

Species evolve through natural selection, becoming efficient at creating and storing multiple compounds in their synergistic relationships to sustain their survival and reproduction. A botanical extract should reflect the true blueprint of a plant. • Our innovation in Cellular Extraction™ uses significantly less plant matter/biomass to create superior plant extracts, Preventing Over-Harvesting

• Throughout our manufacturing we use filtered, deionized and purified Rain-Harvested Water, reducing the use of public supply by up to approx. 1,000L/day

• Our factory recycles and composts and operates at a Household Standard Waste Collection. Extract by- products are clean, biodegradable, and composted or sorted for collection

• Sourcing Sustainably, wild harvested or commercially grown botanicals, in addition to upcycling surplus produce to reduce growers’ waste streams and extend crop values – less plant material means less exposure to over harvesting

• Energy and Biomass - Efficient extraction methods have an accelerated processing time, using extreme pressure and static cycles to reducing the energy needed to create an extract, using less plant material to create superior extracts

• Flexible Concentration Options are affordable and minimize packaging and freight-related CO2 emissions from reduced weight
